The Rogers High School cheerleaders will be hosting a youth clinic on Sunday, September 18th. Girls ages 5-12 are invited to participate and will learn cheers, a dance and stunts that they will perform with the Rogers Cheerleaders at halftime of the Rogers football game on Friday, September 23rd. The clinic will run from 3:00-5:00 pm at The Hut. The cost is $25 per person and includes a tshirt. From 6:00PM to 7:30PM

The Women’s Resource Center, serving Newport and Bristol Counties, is hosting a fundraising cocktail cruise aboard the schooner “Madeleine” on Sunday, September 18, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Leaving from Fort Adams State Park (84 Fort Adams Drive), Newport, R.I., the 72-foot classic schooner will sail in and around Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay, offering views of historic properties such as Clingstone, Hammersmith Farm and the Inn at Castle Hill. The 1.5-hour cruise includes complimentary beer and champagne and light hors d’oeuvres. Tickets cost $35 per person.
