Garden Help and Soil Testing

From 10:00AM to 12:00PM

Prescott Farm, 2009 West Main Rd., Middletown For the past ten years, the Prescott Farm gardens have been a URI Master Gardener project site. On Sunday mornings (weather dependent), the Master Gardeners offer free soil analysis and gardening information. In addition to texture and pH evaluation, the Master Gardeners will offer advice on any gardening, lawn care or other questions you may have.

Rabbi Jagolinzer's 40th Anniv with Temple Shalom

Rabbi Marc S. Jagolinzer has served as spiritual leader of Temple Shalom in Middletown for 40 years. He has touched the lives of hundreds of people throughout the Jewish and general RI communities. To mark this milestone occasion, Temple Shalom will be honoring Rabbi Jagolinzer the weekend of June 5-7, through special Shabbat servies and a celebration dinner with entertainment. Services will be held at Temple Shalom Friday 6/5 at 7:30PM and Saturday 6/6 at 10AM. Dinner Sunday Night, 6/7, will be at 6PM at Atlantic Beach Club in Middletown. The Rabbi will also be presented a Testimonial Book of personal messages and memories. All are welcome to share in these celebrations. The Accidental Sisters present “Finding Home”

Jamestown Arts Center, 18 Valley Road, Jamestown, RI The Accidental Sisters, a Jamestown-based women’s a capella vocal ensemble, will present their sixth annual concert on Saturday, June 6 at 7:30pm. The performance will be held at the Jamestown Arts Center at 18 Valley Road. Admission to the concert is free but a suggested donation of $10 will help Lucy’s Hearth, an emergency shelter program in Middletown, and Friends of Nepal Pariwar Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to improve health and well being of families in rural Nepal; a critical goal after recent earthquakes. The concert repertoire ranges from a melody inspired by Hassidic prayer to contemporary “street music" merging rhythms from African, American and Spanish culture. Finding Home will include a selection of poems and a guest set featuring members Cheryl Grelle and Judy Bowles, accompanied by Matt Bowles.
