National Boys & Girls Club Week

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County are pleased to invite kids of all ages, their families and the community to join us in celebrating National Boys & Girls Club Week! Activities will be held Friday, March 21 – Saturday, March 29, 2014 at all three of our clubhouses. All events are free and open to the public. Friday, March 21 – BGC Week Kick-off Party at the Central Clubhouse, 6-9pm Monday, March 24 – Zumbatonics & Movies at all Clubhouses, 3-6pm Tuesday, March 25 – Wanna Play Olympics at the Park Holm Clubhouse, 4-6pm Wednesday, March 26 – Painting and Scavenger Hunts at all Clubhouses, 3-6pm Thursday, March 27 – Club Spirit Day & Workout Video World Record Attempt at all Clubhouses, 3-6pm Friday, March 28 – Open House Celebration including a Talent Show, Free Swim, Moon bounce, Rock Wall and more at Central Clubhouse, 3-8pm Saturday, March 29 –Family Swim at the Central Clubhouse, 12-2pm For more information on Boys & Girls Club Week and the programs offered at the Boys & Girls Clubs Newport County, contact Debbie Bailey at 401-847-6927 ext. 17. or email dbailey@bgcnewport.org. BENEFIT CONCERT & DINNER EVENT

From 6:00PM to 11:00PM

The Mustard Seed Farm will be hosting a benefit concert, dinner and silent auction at 6:00pm on Saturday, March 29 at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston. The evening features blues legend, JAMES MONTGOMERY. This event will help support their Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapy programs in Rhode Island. Our main goal is to offer a much needed service to the community we work within by providing therapy for veterans (Seeds of Courage program), special needs children/adults as well as education and provide health recreation for the public.
